WACF annual breakfast meeting

Join the Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, for the annual WACF public meeting, at the Levinson-LaBrosse Lakes and Wetlands Education Center. The breakfast meeting will be held at the Ruddell Pavilion.Dr. Nate Bosch, director of the Center for Lakes & Streams at Grace College, will speak on “Current and Future Research on Lake Wawasee,” followed by a presentation from Jed Pearson, Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Fisheries biologist. Another highlight of the morning will be the presentation of the Cattail Awards.Guests will hear the state of the watershed: grant projects and center update, shorelines, ecology, canoes and development.There will also be the changing of the guard with the new chair and vice chair announced. Breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., at which time the meeting will take place.The WACF Levinson-LaBrosse Lakes and Wetlands Education Center is located at 11586 N. SR 13, one mile south of Syracuse.
