Linda Harkleroad is the nominee for state president of the Garden Clubs of Indiana

SYRACUSE-WAWASEE Garden Club is thrilled to announce long time member Linda Harkleroad is the nominee for state president of the Garden Clubs of Indiana. She has been a member since 1976 and has served as president, vice-president and secretary several times. 

She has served as North Central District civic development chairman, North Central District director, state civic development chairmen, state recording secretary and state first vice president. Linda is also an active member of Michiana Master Gardeners and in addition to a love of annuals and perennials, she loves to read and travel.

Linda graduated from Richmond High School and received a bachelor’s degree in English from Wittenberg University and a master’s degree in English from the University of Notre Dame. She taught high school English for 36 years. Many Wawasee High School students had her as a teacher.

Her son Ryan lives in Indianapolis with his wife. They have two children Alison and Ethan. The club is just bursting its buttons in pride.
