MANY WILL want to attend the first Centennial Homes Presentation

MANY WILL want to attend the first Centennial Homes Presentation, 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25. It will be held in a different location than usual, Ruddell Pavilion, Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation, 11586 N. SR 13. Masks are requested to be worn and social distancing maintained.

Two Lake Wawasee families and three homes will be discussed, Ideal Beach’s Deister family and Vawter Park’s Adams family. The two families are even related. You can also attend by Zoom. Visit Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum website and Facebook page for Zoom info.

The Deister cottage was shown in last week’s newspaper. Below are the two homes that comprise the Adams compound in Vawter Park. Ogden Island will be featured in the second Centennial Homes Presentation, 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Syracuse Community Center, 1013 N. Long Drive, where the museum is located. These presentations are always free and the public is encouraged to attend.
