GREAT NEWS to report from the Wawasee Wooden Boats Group, “We had a picture perfect day for our 10th Thunder Run of the year. The 22 woodies were led by Fritz Kreutzinger in his 17’ Chris Craft Sportsman, ‘Havin A Ball.’ Many thanks to Lynda Moryl for sharing her photo.

“As we circled the lake, we counted over 220 different on-shore groups enthusiastically waving as we passed by. Quite a turnout! One thing we try to do each year is have an extended Thunder Run with a trip over to Syracuse Lake.

“For 2019 we are targeting Sunday, July 28, for this trip immediately following the conclusion of the regular run. The perils of navigating under the famed railroad bridge will no doubt deter some folks from making the trip but our regulars who come over each week from Syracuse tell us it should be no problem.”
