Families enjoy annual breakfast

Several hundred attended the annual event Saturday morning, June 24.Not only could the guests enjoy breakfast with friends they haven’t seen for a year, but also meet new friends.Guests also had the opportunity to purchase this year’s Flotilla attire, learn about Big Brothers/Big Sisters, see and purchase artwork from students at Red Bird Art Studio at Cardinal Center, gather information about the Syracuse-Wawasee Trails and programs offered at Chautauqua-Wawasee. Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation was on hand to provide information on its programs and guests could sign up for the weekly Friday morning canoe trips.Turkey Creek Fire Territory was once again present for the guests to see the equipment available and to take a ride in the bucket of the ladder truck. The opportunity for a bird’s eye view of Oakwood is taken by many of the guests year after year.
