Hundreds attend lake associations family breakfast

Text and Photo By Deb PattersonClose to 200 residents and families from Syracuse and Wawasee lakes attended the Wawasee Property Owners Association/Syracuse Lake Association family breakfast at Oakwood Resort Saturday morning, June 25.Organizations such as the Syracuse-Wawasee Garden Club, Syracuse-Wawasee Trails Foundation, Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation, Center for Lakes & Streams and Flotilla committee were available to provide information to guests. Merchandise from WACF, WPOA and Flotilla was available to purchase. Prints from the artist series and two additional prints were also available to view and purchase.Among the highlights for kids of all ages was the display of fire equipment by the Turkey Creek Fire Territory, including a ride in the bucket of the ladder truck to see a bird’s eye view of the area. Another highlight was the creations of Ken’s Balloons.
