The annual Flotilla Commodore Party was hosted by Tom and Holly Tuttle Sunday, July 21, at their Lake Wawasee home on behalf of the Wawasee Flotilla Committee. Involved with the Flotilla for 21 years, the couple were 2019 Co-Commodores.

The Wawa-seal in the photo was signed by many of the guests and former commodores as a gift for the Tuttles years of participation. In front, from left, are Jim Tranter, Kay Young, Clare Baumgart, Holly Tuttle, Tom Tuttle and Bob McNary.

In back are Dave Stell, Dick Green, Matt Kiley representing his father, the late Mike Kiley, and Mike DeLucenay representing the Knights of Columbus. At the party but not in the photo were Doug Schrock, Tom Prickett, Sam Cole and David Ganz, who also represented the K of C.

CRUZIN’ HAS never published this photo of the Vawter Park Hotel before. It is not certain if this is the first or second version of the hotel, both of which burned. They were followed by the South Shore Hotel on the site where the South Shore Condominiums are now.
