Jane Leining Love, 91, Fort Wayne, formerly of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Coventry Meadows Assisted Living in Fort Wayne.She was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Providence, R.I., to Rev. Frederick C. and Harriet (Barrows) Leining.In 1943, she graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y., receiving a BS with no honors. On June 24, 1944, she married Dr. V. Logan Love, who preceded her in death in 1996.She resided in Marion from 1951-1968 and Syracuse from 1968-2008, when she moved to Fort Wayne. Ms. Love was a trained Viking, but could not find gainful employment. She had the heart of a teenager.Jane is survived by her three children, Nancy Love, Fort Wayne, Gordon (Alice) Love, Tampa , Fla., and Gretchen (Jeff) Hughes, Huntington; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her sister.A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. 1000N, Syracuse. Rev. Gary Lewis officiated the service.
